Boaters navigating the Hudson River between Albany and Rensselaer should be aware of an upcoming temporary navigation channel closure associated with the ongoing replacement of the Livingston Avenue Railroad Bridge.

The navigation channel is scheduled to be completely closed on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If weather or construction conditions prevent the work from proceeding, Saturday, October 17, has been designated as the alternate date.

Construction vessels and equipment will be operating in the vicinity of the bridge. A safety boat will be stationed in the area, and boaters are advised to monitor VHF Channels 13 and 16 for communications and navigation instructions.

Members planning to travel north of Albany during this period should plan accordingly and allow for possible delays.
