As Albany Yacht Club looks ahead to the 2027 boating season, members will soon have the opportunity to help shape the Club’s future by selecting its leadership for the coming year.
Nominations for the Club’s Officers and Board of Directors will take place during the November 10, 2026, Membership Meeting, with elections scheduled for the December Membership Meeting.
All five officer positions are elected annually, including Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Secretary, and Treasurer. In addition, three of the Club’s five Board of Directors positions will be open for election, each carrying a two-year term covering 2027 and 2028.
Serving in a leadership position offers members an opportunity to contribute to the Club’s continued success, participate in important decisions, and help guide its activities and future direction.
Only Regular Members of Albany Yacht Club are eligible to serve as Officers or Board Members.
Members interested in serving are encouraged to contact the Nominating Committee members, Mark Principato or James Young.
Albany Yacht Club thrives through the dedication and involvement of its members. The upcoming elections provide another opportunity to continue that tradition of volunteer leadership and active participation in the Club’s future.
