Thank you for your interest in applying for membership to the Albany Yacht Club. Our history is rich and proud, dating back to 1873.
The Albany Yacht Club promotes safe and enjoyable boating while serving as a steward of New York’s inland waterways. The Club fosters fellowship, inclusiveness, and camaraderie among our members, their families and guests, the Mohawk-Hudson Yacht Council, and other boating organizations. We maintain a high standard of excellence in our operations and facilities to preserve the Club’s legacy for future generations.
As a proud working club, Albany Yacht Club also relies on the active participation of its members. In accordance with our bylaws, all members are required to complete a minimum number of volunteer hours each year. There are many ways to contribute, including helping prepare and serve dinners, assisting with events, cleaning and groundskeeping, performing maintenance and repairs, and supporting numerous other club activities. Volunteering is not only essential to the success of the Club, but also a great way to meet fellow members and become part of the AYC community.
During the application process, this application will be presented to the Flag Officers and Board of Governors of Albany Yacht Club.
